Press conferences are held by companies and attended by the media, where one or more organizational speakers may address those attending and journalists/reporters may then be able to ask questions. Before a press conference takes place, a #PR agency invites targeted media (keeping the client informed on exactly whom to expect to turn up), prepares the organization’s speakers to be able to answer basic (and hostile!) questions, and a company typically issues a press release, outlining the nature of the event.
